At Trine University, it is a pleasure working the students in the different master’s-level programs.  It is an honor to work with my fellow professors, building the MSBAN program coursework.

My career in information technology began during my service in the United States Air Force and transferred to the United States Army. I spent 35 years in the information technology industry working as a field technician, network engineer, coder and data center engineer, retiring as a director of operations. While working I achieved a bachelor’s in computer systems management, earned a master’s in computer information systems, and finished with a Ph.D. in organization and management with a specialization in information technology management.

Coming from a family of educators, I found my passion for teaching during my career as a trainer for companies such as Lockheed International, Bell Textron and Dictaphone Corporation. One of my greatest pleasures was mentoring many information technology technicians throughout the years; it was a joy to see them accomplish great things.   My career in academia began as an adjunct professor at my alma mater, Saint Edward’s University.  Over the last nine years, as an educator, I have enjoyed helping students reach their goals.

When I am not teaching, I spend time with my wife and our children, working around our small ranch in Smithville, Texas. We have embarked on a wildlife management project as a part of teaching our children to give back.
