I am a 1998 honors graduate (B.S.B.A.-Accounting) of Tri-State (Trine) University and received his M.B.A. from Indiana University (Fort Wayne) in 2000.  While attending Tri-State, I was a member of the men's basketball team and in 1997 was named an Academic All-American. I was a member of the Trine University Alumni Board of Directors from 2001-2013 and Trine University Athletic Hall of Fame Committee from 2011-2015.  I serve as president and chief executive officer at First Federal Savings Bank of Angola (Angola, Indiana). I have taught as an adjunct professor for Trine University since 2001 and presently teach the following online classes: Accounting I, Accounting II, Cost Accounting, Money & Banking, and Personal Finance.

As a Tri-State (Trine) University alumnus, it is important to me that the course rigor and student experience is exceptional, just as it was (way back!) when I was a student. I believe we can make online learning enjoyable and practical for both the traditional and non-traditional student. Finance-related subjects can be tough, but if the student commits to the schedule and starts assignments early to allow maximum completion time, the material and assignments are very manageable.

I’ve taught for many years now (since 2001!) and have “seen it all.”  From the early years of the Angola Evening Program on campus to today’s TrineOnline, please use my experiences both in academia and as a bank executive to maximize your learning experience!
