I have been a professional geologist for more than 40 years with experience in geology, management and environmental fields including petroleum exploration, site assessment and remediation; hazardous waste and regional coordination (Department of Defense (DoD) with the Navy). I enjoy studying and exploring all science has to offer. My father was my mentor and a geologist as well.

Raised and schooled in Oklahoma City, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in geology at the University of Oklahoma and worked in petroleum exploration for several years. I then moved to Austin, Texas, and took environmental science courses with the intention of shifting my degree to work in the environmental field.

Two years later, I moved to San Diego, California, and worked as a geologist in the environmental industry (mostly in site assessment and remediation) while obtaining a Master in Business Administration degree from the University of Redlands in California. After about 10 years, I began working for the United States Navy as a civilian in Site Assessment and Remediation and later as a Department of Defense Regional Environmental Coordinator, and retired after over 24 years.  In April 2019, I moved back to Oklahoma City to be near family and friends.

I love teaching at Trine! I want to share my passion for science with my students and help them realize how exciting science can be when putting their degree into practice. I have taught at Trine over 10 years and enjoy the flexibility of online instruction, as I enjoy traveling. I have played tennis for over 40 years (still do!), completed eight half marathons and love dogs!
