Commencement

Trine University commencement

So you're ready to graduate. Congratulations!

Commencement is recognition of all your hard work and commitment to complete your degree. Celebrate it with your fellow students, family and friends. If they can't make the ceremony, they can watch it live from anywhere with our streamed broadcast of the event.

Commencement takes place each year, typically in May. The ceremony is open to all TrineOnline and Trine University students. You will receive information from the registrar and your advisor early in the spring semester if you are eligible to graduate.

For more information, please visit the Commencement page on the main website. This information is updated each year in early spring.

Hooding Ceremony

Graduates earning a master's degree will be invited to a Hooding ceremony, during which you will be individually recognized for your accomplishments. As with Commencement, all faculty and students wear academic regalia at Hooding. The Hooding ceremony is for graduate students only and does not replace Commencement, which is the official conferring of degrees.

Hooding ceremonies are held at the end of each semester. You will receive information from the registrar and your advisor if you are eligible to participate.
