Kimberlee Giles, Miss Indiana United States 2018 and the reigning Mrs. Northeast with American Royal Beauties, speaks during Trine University’s Take Back the Night event in the MTI Center on Wednesday, April 13. Giles, who suffered physical and sexual abuse from ages 11-15, began sharing her own story as a survivor when she won the 2018 title. About 250 students plus faculty, staff and community members attended Trine’s annual event, which marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month on the campus and in the community. Take Back the Night informs and educates the community about sexual assault through stories and statistics as well as resources for survivors.
Tusk, the Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute, will bring the band’s greatest hits to the stage of Trine University’s T. Furth Center for Performing Arts on Friday, Nov. 17.
