The Trine University family is mourning the sudden loss of a student who passed away
Friday, July 15.
Luciano Bonaveri, 21, a civil engineering major from Barranquilla, Colombia, was killed in an automobile accident in Arizona.
Luciano was a member of the Multicultural Student Organization, Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He also worked on campus at the Depot.
“We offer our deepest condolences to Luciano’s family and his many friends here on the Trine University campus,” said Earl D. Brooks, Ph.D., Trine University president. “It is always tragic when a young person passes away. We ask everyone to keep the family in particular in their thoughts and prayers.”
Anyone who knew and loved Luciano is invited to join his family for the viewing and memorial service Thursday, July 21. The viewing will be from 9 a.m. to noon at Messingers Pinnacle Peak Mortuary and Chapel, 8555 E Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale, Arizona. A Mass will follow at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, 36811 N. Pima Road, Carefree, Arizona.
The university Counseling Center is available in person or virtually to any Trine community members.
