Trine grad discusses professional sports purchasing in podcast

Breanna MathewsThe newest episode of Trine University’s Center for Sports Studies podcast features Breanna Mathews, a Trine University alumna who serves as purchasing coordinator for the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mathews, who graduated from Trine in 2015 with a marketing degree, works with a multitude of vendors to provide everything from paper to signage for the Buccaneers. In the episode, she discusses her day-to-day responsibilities with the team, the important role purchasing plays for a professional sports team and how she was able to leverage her past experience in retail into a position with the Buccaneers.

Produced through the Trine Broadcasting Network, the Trine Center for Sports Studies podcast focuses on the business side of sports, including interviews with sports professionals and current research in sports studies.
