Trine podcast looks at NFL spying techniques

Kevin BryantThe newest episode of Trine University’s Center for Sports Studies podcast delves into the cloak-and-dagger world of espionage in professional football.

Kevin Bryant, author of the new book Spies on the Sidelines: The High-Stakes World of NFL Espionage, discusses the lengths teams in the National Football League are willing to go to in order to gain a competitive advantage. In his research, he uncovered everything from spies disguised as reporters to tapped telephones and radio frequency jamming.

An Army veteran with more than 20 years of experience safeguarding and gathering information for the Department of Defense, including 13 years as a Special Agent conducting national security investigations and instructing federal agents in training, Bryant has researched the sophistication of spying techniques in the NFL over the past six years.  

Produced through the Trine Broadcasting Network, the Trine Center for Sports Studies podcast focuses on the business side of sports, including interviews with sports professionals and current research in sports studies.
