FORT WAYNE — Four Trine University faculty members were among 14 outstanding educators chosen as honorees by Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly for its annual Education Awards.

Trine University was the only college or university whose faculty members were recognized.

Emilio Vazquez, Ph.D., medical director for Trine University’s Master of Physicians Assistant Studies program, was honored with the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Linda Conley, assistant professor in the Ketner School of Business, was honored for Innovation in Teaching.

Timothy Jenkins, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Design Engineering Technology, received the award for Excellence in STEM Subjects.

Bradley Martin, assistant professor in the Department of Criminal Justice, was recognized for Excellence in Social Sciences.

The honorees were selected by a panel of judges from nominations submitted online. All 14 were featured in a special publication produced by KPC Media Group, which publishes Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly and sponsors the awards.

KPC also recognized the winners in a video streamed live on Sept. 30 at youtu.be/szIKJT57qKw

Earlier in September, Trine University was voted the Best College in the Greater Fort Wayne area by readers of the Journal Gazette.
