Trine alum discusses mentors, competition in podcast

Zach MathewsThe newest episode of Trine University’s Center for Sports Studies podcast features Zach Mathews, a 2015 Trine alumnus who transitioned into writing full-time after a successful career in professional hockey and football.

Now an online coach, speaker and blogger, Mathew recently published the book, Climbing Your Self-Discipline Tree, available on Amazon. The podcast covers the role that mentors play in professional development, and competitive traits in successful people.

Other topics including establishing a clear vision, removing distractions, healthy competition and persevering through failure.

Produced through the Trine Broadcasting Network, the Trine Center for Sports Studies podcast focuses on the business side of sports, including interviews with sports professionals and current research in sports studies.
