Letter praises Trine track and field team

A letter in the Sunday, Jan. 19, KPC Media Group newspapers praises members of Trine University's track and field team who helped an 84-year-old woman in her move to Angola.

According to the letter, written by Karen Shelton of the Steuben County Council on Aging, when the woman needed help at the last minute, Coach Josh Fletcher and six team members were there , and are planning to offer further assistance.

INDIANAPOLIS — Bethany Morgan Schmitt, a Trine University sophomore from Fort Wayne, Indiana, majoring in exercise science/pre-physical therapy, was one of 29 first-generation Indiana college students named as a “Realizing the Dream” recipient by the Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI).
