TrineOnline offers enhanced path to degrees

February 18, 2019

FORT WAYNE — Trine University is enhancing and expanding its online degree programs with the launch of TrineOnline, a new approach designed to be convenient and cost-effective for students seeking to complete an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree.

The launch comes a month after Trine was recognized by US News and World Report in its annual listing of Best Online Programs.

The university’s new TrineOnline division will eventually be headquartered in Fort Wayne at what is currently Trine’s Fort Wayne Education Center, 9910 Dupont Circle Dr. East, Suite 130, with additional staff to support online operations.

“Trine University has a long, successful history in Fort Wayne, offering professional studies degree programs for more than 20 years and, more recently, launching and developing programs at our Health Sciences Education Center,” said John Shannon, Ph.D., vice president for academic affairs. “With increased numbers expected in the working adult population, it makes sense to centralize TrineOnline operations in Fort Wayne, which offers a critical mass of these students, a solid technology infrastructure and plenty of room for expansion.”

“We plan to expand our presence in and commitment to Fort Wayne, even as we continue to invest in our main campus in Angola.”

Offering professionally focused associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees entirely online, TrineOnline is designed to fit the schedules of those who are in the workforce. New classes begin every eight weeks, and degrees are able to be completed in as little as a year, or at a slower pace if preferred.

TrineOnline offers comprehensive academic support, with unlimited access to academic tutors, available online any time day or night, as well as personal attention from dedicated faculty. Students enrolled in TrineOnline also gain access to Trine University’s Career Services, with continued support after graduation. Trine University graduates have a more than 99 percent employment rate over the past several years.

“TrineOnline offers all the support of an established university with 135 years of history — the fastest-growing private university in Indiana — to help today’s student take the next step in their career path,” said Shannon.

TrineOnline continues Trine University’s generous transfer credit policies, which, combined with already affordable tuition rates and no hidden fees, allow online students to keep costs to a minimum. Some programs allow students to earn graduate credit while completing their undergraduate degree.
