Record numbers participate in Homecoming activities

Perfect weather welcomed alumni, families and the community to Trine University Homecoming and Family Weekend, held Oct. 4-6. More than 900 registered for weekend activities, a 36 percent increase from last year’s record participation.

At the Thunderstruck Pep Rally, Brooke Hardy, a senior from Wauseon, Ohio, majoring in chemical engineering, was crowned Homecoming queen and Evan Radtke, a junior from Sturgis, Michigan, majoring in forensic science, was crowned king.

A record crowd of 6,375 attended the Homecoming football game. Many alumni and families also participated in the Touchstone and Homecoming Celebration Dinner, Homecoming bonfire, pancake breakfast, Tour de Trine, Thunder Zone and tailgating.

Mark your calendar for next year’s Homecoming and Family Weekend, which will be held Oct. 9-11, 2020.
