Trine University’s football program will dedicate a new room in honor of its All-Americans
this Saturday, Oct. 8.
The dedication of the Jason A. Stechschulte All-American Room will take place at 11
a.m. in Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium. A luncheon will follow at noon. All former
All-Americans and Academic All-Americans in attendance will be recognized on field
at halftime of the football game, which kicks off at 1 p.m.
The team expects 13 former All-Americans to be in attendance:

Named in honor of Jason A. Stechschulte, a 2003 graduate of Tri-State University,
the room recognizes football players receiving All-American and Academic All-American
honors. Stechschulte was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011 and has earned
the university’s Distinguished Service Young Alumnus Award twice. He earned NAIA Coaches
Association All-American honors twice and was a NAIA Academic All-American in 2002.
All football alumni are invited to attend the dedication. Alumni planning on attending

The dedication precedes Trine’s MIAA-opener as the Thunder host conference rival Albion.
Trine is off to a 3-1 start this season, while the Britons enter Saturday’s contest
The Thunder is coming off a 62-19 Homecoming victory over Concordia (Ill.) during
which the team set team records for total offense and rushing yards in a single game.
