AUG. 26 -- Trine University students were visited by three camels today (Aug. 26) because it's Wednesday, also known as hump day. Students checked out the trio of an adult and two smaller camels, one of which was nearly white, on the lawn outside of the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center.

The largest camel was draped with a blanket that said "What day is it?" on one side and "Hump Day" on the other side. Many selfie sticks were available for students who wished to photograph themselves with one of the friendly camels. Brandon Villanueva, pictured above, took a selfie sans stick with one of the younger camels. Villanueva is a St. Charles, Ill., freshman majoring in chemical engineering.

Student Services arranged the visit with the camels from Lost River Game Farm in Orleans, Ind. Bob Hudelson, farm owner, also brought an African crested porcupine that students could view in its cage. Hudelson said the porcupine, that has black and white quills nearly a foot long, is not friendly enough for petting and handling.
