Internships
On campus we have plenty of opportunities to gain much needed experience, with a variety of internships available to add a real-world dimension to your education.
While taking coursework in English, students practice what they learn in class and by working for Trine's literary journal, Inscriptions, writing for the department, and promoting departmental events like the Humanities Symposia and Overlooked Film Festival.
Communication majors have the opportunity to call games for the Sports Information office, work with our marketing and admissions departments, write for our alumni magazine, and get real-world experience working with our campus radio station, WEAX. Students who are interested in developing skills in public relations have the opportunity to participate in event promotions within the department with the Humanities Symposia, Drama Club and the Overlooked Film Festival.
All of our programs and faculty, encourage students to gain hands-on experience by being involved in activities like these on campus and through off-campus internship opportunities, as well.
