Alpha Sigma Tau (AST)

Nationally, Alpha Sigma Tau was founded November 4, 1899, at Michigan State Normal College (now Eastern Michigan University), Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Our chapters do a number of philanthropy projects for our two national philanthropies which are: Pine Mountain Settlement School and Habitat for Humanity. Nationally and locally Alpha Sigma Tau is a zero tolerance hazing organization and was founder of the National anti-hazing hotline (1-888-NOT-HAZE).

Alpha Sigma Tau strives to promote the ethical, cultural, and socials development of all its members. An Alpha Sigma Tau member is known as a woman who is active, self-reliant, and trustworthy. Alpha Sigma Tau is one of the national women's organizations in the National Panhellenic Conference. With help from the national organization and local alumnae, Alpha Sigma Tau hopes to be a group of women leaders on the Trine University campus for years to come!
