HEERF II and HEERF III

Under the terms of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) and the America Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA), students who were enrolled at Trine University during the pandemic received payments to assist in dealing with hardships caused by the coronavirus pandemic. CRRSAA and ARPA provided money to colleges and universities for emergency student grants. The purpose of the grant is to help cover expenses related to the cost of attendance (i.e., food, housing and utilities, health insurance including mental health care, transportation, or child care) or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus.

Trine University distributed CRRSAA and ARPA funding in a way that prioritized students with the greatest demonstrated need and ensures that funds are distributed as widely as possible.  The amounts for the students enrolled for Spring Semester 2021 range from $400 to $1,550 per student and were distributed April 15th and June 9th, 2021. The amounts for students enrolled for Fall Semester 2021 range from $300 to $750 per student and were distributed on October 13th, 2021 and October 27st, 2021. The amounts for students enrolled for Spring Semester 2022 ranged from $500 to $750 per student and were distributed on March 2rd, 2022. Eligible students were not required to complete an application or file any other documents.
