The Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering Technology equips you with the skills to succeed, lead and serve in plastic product manufacturing, the third largest industry in the United States. Trine’s curriculum has been designed to prepare students from all backgrounds with a solid engineering core combined with a high level of plastics industry knowledge.

You will learn from faculty with industrial experience and training in the field, who are well-suited to prepare you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the industry. You will gain real-world experiences in labs featuring equipment used in the plastics industry.

If you are taking Project Lead the Way courses in high school, you can receive transfer credit directly from those courses. Trine University also offers a special tuition award for Project Lead the Way students.

Trine’s engineering technology graduates have been hired into project engineering, design engineering and manufacturing engineering roles in the plastics industry.

Many companies continue to hire our engineering technology students and graduates with plastics undergraduate experience as engineering interns and full-time engineers, including Dart Container, Rieke Corporation, DeKalb Molded Plastics, General Motors and Chrysler.
