My name is Marissa Hunter, and I am a second-year DPT student. I have a degree in animal sciences from The Ohio State University.

" I chose Trine because I liked the idea of pursuing my career with a small class where you can create friendships and your class becomes a family. "- Marissa Hunter

When people hear that I have an animal sciences degree, they ask me, “Why PT school?” While I was at OSU, I did an internship and volunteered with hippotherapy clinics. It was amazing to see the goals the children were achieving in their therapy sessions on horseback. This was when I decided pediatric therapy and animals were a great combination for me, so I pursued a physical therapy degree.

I went to a large university for my undergraduate degree, and I had taken my fair share of classes in giant lecture halls. I chose Trine because I liked the idea of pursuing my career with a small class where you can create friendships and your class becomes a family.

During my “free time,” I like to exercise, play volleyball and watch Buckeye football!
