Associate

A total of 60 hours are required to earn an associate in science. To be eligible for an associate in science, a student must earn a minimum of the last 16 credits at Trine.

Two associate degrees may be received at the same time, provided all requirements for both degrees have been met, and the student has earned a minimum of 16 credit hours more than the degree with the lower minimum hour requirement.

General Education Requirements - 18 credit hours 

Mathematics Elective - 3 credit hours
Science Elective - 3 credit hours
Social Sciences Elective - 3 credit hours
Humanities Elective - 3 credit hours
ENG 133 Technical Communication
   OR ENG 143 College Composition
One of the following:
    HUM 203 Humanities Seminar
    SP 203 Effective Speaking
    COM 163 Interpersonal Communication

Content Requirements - 42 credit hours

Science courses - 21 credit hours
Student must complete 24 total hours in science (21 listed here and 3 listed under General Education requirements)

UE 101 University Experience
Unrestrictive Electives - 20 credit hours
Elective hours determined in conjunction with advisor and based on student career objectives
