I had early exposure to aquatic organisms through my father′s long career in fishery management, which led to my bachelor′s degree in aquaculture and ultimately a doctoral degree in biological sciences.

Some of my research has involved enhancing fish productivity through genetic manipulation and developing gene expression regulation methods in the fruit fly.

In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, water and snow skiing, and biking with my family.

On Fridays, I have played soccer with international students in Hershey Hall. I also follow Manchester United in the Premier League.
