My formal education includes going to Kansas State University for my bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Oklahoma State University for my master’s degree in electrical engineering and Texas Tech for my PhD in electrical engineering, specializing in high-powered microwaves, pulsed power and plasma physics.
Coming out of school, I went to work for a number of companies in industry including the Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, California where I worked on microprocessors and also in the wireless communications group managing analog front-ends in Folsom, California. I also spent time working at the Nevada Test Site as a nuclear weapon steward working on both hardware and software capabilities. Following my industry experience, I taught at another university for about 12 years before joining Trine.
